Into Craft CMS or Webflow

Move your website to a new platform without losing rankings.

The site has outgrown its CMS, the platform costs too much, nobody can edit it, or the company that built it is gone. You need to move, and you can't afford to lose ten years of content, URLs and search rankings on the way.

How a migration works

  1. 01

    Inventory.

Every page, file, redirect and integration on the old site, and which of them matter. Nothing moves that shouldn't, and nothing that should is forgotten.

  2. 02

    Content model.

The new structure is designed before anything is migrated: sections, fields, relationships, languages. This is where most migrations go wrong, and it's the part I care most about.

  3. 03

    Redirect map.

Every old URL gets a destination before launch. Rankings follow URLs. This is how they survive.

  4. 04

    Scripted migration.

Content is moved by script, not by hand, checked page by page against the old site.

  5. 05

    Launch checks and editor training.

Search Console, redirects, forms, integrations, analytics. Then your team learns the new CMS before the old one is switched off.

Who you'll be working with.

I'm Frederico Leonardo, a senior web designer and developer in Lisbon, Portugal. I've moved sites into Webflow and out of it, into Craft CMS and between Craft versions, from WordPress, Gatsby and Contentful. The platform is chosen for your content, not for my convenience. I've done it in both directions.

    review, when it needs investigating

Migrations start at €8k. A rebuild with substantial content transformation, languages or integrations is usually €12k–€40k or more.

I need to see the content, export options, URL structure and dependencies before giving you a fixed quote. If these need investigation, the €1500 review gives you the findings and a migration recommendation. The fee comes off the agreed total if I take on the project. The timeline is confirmed after scoping.

Agency or freelance designer?

If you're an agency or designer with a web project and no developer, I can build it white-label or alongside you. If you don't have a web designer either, I design it too, or recommend someone. Everything stays in your client's accounts.

FAQ

Answers before you get in touch.

Will we lose rankings?

Not if it's planned. Every old URL gets a destination, the content model keeps what search engines liked, and I check Search Console before and after. Redesigns lose traffic when nobody maps the URLs. That's the step people skip.

How long does it take?

Two to six weeks for most sites. Large multilingual sites take longer, mostly because of the content model, not the moving.

Can editors keep working during the migration?

Yes. We agree a content freeze of a few days before launch, and that's it.

Which platforms do you migrate from?

WordPress, Webflow, Gatsby, Contentful, older Craft versions, and most CMSs with an export. If yours is unusual, I'll tell you after the review.

Which platform will you move us to?

Usually Craft CMS for content-heavy and multilingual sites, Webflow when the marketing team wants visual control and the content is simple. I've done both, and I'll show you why one fits.

Can you redesign at the same time?

Yes, and it's often the right moment. If you don't have designs, I design it too.

Tell me what you're moving from, and why.
