Ongoing development

Someone who's still here after launch.

Launch is when the client starts asking for things: a new section, a broken form, an update that can't wait. You need someone who knows the site, answers when the client calls and doesn't disappear between projects.

Two options

Maintenance or reserved time

  • €300

per month, from, for technical maintenance

  • €1000

per month, from, for 10 hours of reserved time

Maintenance covers agreed updates and checks to keep a site working. I assess the platform first and specify what is covered. New features and major upgrades are quoted separately.

Reserved time is a monthly retainer with agreed capacity for fixes, changes and new features, and your work has priority in my schedule. It starts at 10 hours a month, with a 3-month initial commitment. Maintenance can be part of that capacity if we agree it in the proposal.

You keep the client relationship and decide how to price it.

Who you'll be working with.

I'm Frederico Leonardo, a senior web developer. I've worked independently since 2012, some clients have been with me for more than ten years, and I still look most of the sites in my case studies. You get the same person every month, who knows how the site was built and why.

More about me

How ongoing work runs.

  1. 01

I look at the site first.

Platform, versions, plugins and hosting. On a site I didn't build, I assess it before we agree what's covered.

  2. 02

    We agree what's covered.

Maintenance covers a defined set of technical tasks and checks. Reserved time covers fixes, changes and new features, with priority in my schedule.

  3. 03

    Your team sends the work.

We agree how requests reach me and when they're scheduled. I tell you before going over the agreed capacity.

  4. 04

    Everything stays documented.

Changes, accounts and decisions are written down in your client's accounts, so the site never depends on my memory.

Proof

In their words.

I've worked with Frederico for several years on multiple projects and he's consistently one of the best developers I've collaborated with. His technical skills are exceptional, but what really sets him apart is his professionalism: meticulous, reliable, pragmatic, great communicator, and always delivers quality work even under pressure. Highly recommended.

FAQ

Answers before you get in touch.

What happens after launch?

Website builds include 30 days to correct defects in the agreed work. After that, maintenance can cover the technical upkeep, and a retainer can reserve capacity for changes and new features. One-off work is also possible, subject to availability.

Can you look after a site you didn't build?

Yes, after I've looked at it. I assess the platform first and write down what's covered. If it needs work before I can maintain it, I'll say so and quote that separately.

What is the difference between maintenance and a retainer?

Maintenance covers agreed technical tasks and checks. A retainer reserves capacity for fixes, changes and new features, with priority in my schedule. Maintenance can be included in that capacity if we agree it in the proposal.

How much time does a retainer include?

The starting level is €1000 for 10 hours each month. Other levels are €2000 for 20 hours and €3500 for 35 hours. Analysis, working meetings, development, QA and publication count towards that capacity. We agree the right level before starting.

What happens to unused retainer time?

You reserve capacity for that month, so unused time doesn't normally roll over. We plan the priorities together. If I cannot deliver work that we agreed and scheduled, I arrange replacement time or a credit.

What if we need more work in a month?

I tell you before exceeding the agreed capacity. We can quote the additional work, agree extra hours or change the monthly level. Extra capacity is subject to availability.

Do you work with in-house marketing teams?

Yes. Marketing teams work with me directly, with no agency in between. It works the same way: I answer for the technical side, everything stays in your accounts, and I'm still around after launch.
