Website rescue
A client's site is in trouble, and the developer isn't answering.
Whoever built it has moved on, the logins are scattered, an update broke something and the client is calling you. I take over sites I didn't build, find out what's wrong and tell you what it takes to fix it. The symptom is usually obvious. The cause usually isn't.

Sound familiar?
First, I need to understand the problem.
Sometimes the issue is clear enough to quote directly. Sometimes it needs a closer look at the site, the data or how your team uses it. I'll tell you which before you commit to a review.
Tell me what's wrongWho you'll be working with.
I'm Frederico Leonardo, a senior web developer. I've spent over 25 years building websites, which also means I've seen most of the ways they go wrong. I look at what's happening underneath, not just at the symptom you can see, and explain it to you or your client in plain language.
More about meHow a rescue works.
01
Get access back.
Domain, hosting, CMS and repositories. I help you work out who owns what and how to recover it, and everything ends up in your client's name.
02
Find the cause.
I look at the site, the code and how the client's team uses it, and tell you what's wrong, why, and what to do about it.
03
Fix what matters first.
Prioritized by the impact on your client, not by what's easiest.
04
Decide what comes next.
Fix and stop, improve, migrate or rebuild. When the platform is the problem, I plan the move so the content and search rankings survive it.

Smaller one-off fixes are €100 per hour. When the cause isn't clear, a €1500 review gives you the findings and a recommended next step. Larger improvements, rebuilds and migrations start at €8k. If I take on the resulting project, the review fee comes off the agreed total.
FAQ
Answers before you get in touch.
Can you work on a site you didn't build?
Yes, that's most of this work: sites built with Craft CMS, Webflow, Astro or custom code. I don't work on WordPress, so if that's what it runs on, I'll tell you straight away.
What if nobody has the logins?
That's usually the first job. I help you work out who owns the domain, hosting and accounts, and how to get access back. If something can't be recovered, I'll tell you early.
Will a migration hurt our SEO?
Not if it's planned. Every old URL gets a destination before launch.
Do we have to rebuild?
Often not. Sometimes the answer is fix three things and stop.
Can you fix it now and redesign it later?
Yes, and it's often the right order. Fix what's hurting your client today, then plan the next version without the pressure.
Will you talk to the client?
If you want me to. Sometimes it helps to have the person fixing the site explain what went wrong. Otherwise I stay behind the scenes and give you a written summary to share.
