White-label, or alongside your studio

For agencies and freelance designers who need a developer they can trust with the build.

You lead the client and the creative work. You don't have a developer, because it isn't your focus or because you'd rather have a partner than a hire. I scope the build, make the technical decisions and ship it. White-label, or introduced to your client as your developer.

Why agencies bring me in

01

Hiring is expensive.

A senior developer is a fixed cost, and most agencies need one some of the time, not all of the time.

02

Freelancers come and go.

You need someone who is still there for the next project and knows how you work.

03

You're turning down work.

Clients ask for websites and CMS builds you can't deliver without a developer, or without a web designer.

04

Clients ask technical questions.

CMS, hosting, performance, languages, launch risk. It helps to have someone who can answer them in the room.

How a project runs

  1. 01

    I join the kick-off.

I ask the technical questions and help shape the scope. If there's no web designer, I design too, or I can suggest someone.

  2. 02

    We choose the stack together.

Based on what the client's content and team need.

  3. 03

    I build in stages.

With QA and launch support. You manage the client and I manage the technical side.

The projects studios bring me

The projects studios bring me are rarely simple: several languages, a client with thousands of records, a CMS the client's team has to run for years. That's the work I like. Major has brought me into several projects over the years, including NCREP (Craft CMS, two sites from one platform) and Know to Go (Webflow, destination filters and booking integration).

I've worked with Frederico for several years on multiple projects and he's consistently one of the best developers I've collaborated with. His technical skills are exceptional, but what really sets him apart is his professionalism: meticulous, reliable, pragmatic, great communicator, and always delivers quality work even under pressure. Highly recommended.

Price

Project or regular partner

For a defined build, I give you a fixed quote after reviewing the designs, content and technical requirements. Builds from approved designs start at €8k. Larger platforms, migrations and integrations are scoped separately.

If you need someone regularly, a retainer reserves capacity each month, from €1000 for 10 hours. We agree the priorities, how your team sends work and when it will be scheduled.

You keep the client relationship and decide how to price the complete project. My proposal makes the technical scope, responsibilities and handover clear.

FAQ

What agencies usually ask me first

Do you work white-label?

Yes. You keep the client relationship. I stay behind the scenes, or join calls as part of your team when that helps.

Can you design as well as build?

Yes. If your studio designs, I build what you designed. If you do brand and not web, I design and build the site under your brand.

Do you only accept Figma files?

No. Figma is the most common, but Sketch, Paper, Penpot or a PDF all work. The one thing I'd rather not receive is a Photoshop file: it tells me what the page looks like, not how it behaves.

Have you built something like this before?

Probably something close. If it's a sector I haven't worked in, I'll say so, and tell you which parts I have done before.

Which CMS would you use?

Usually Craft CMS for content-heavy and multilingual sites. Webflow when your client wants visual control and the content model is simple. I'll explain why in terms your client will understand.

Can you talk to the client's IT team?

Yes. Hosting, security, analytics, integrations. Better before the architecture is fixed.

How long, and what does it cost?

Builds from approved designs start at €8k. Larger platforms and migrations are quoted separately. I confirm the timeline after reviewing the scope. If the budget is fixed, tell me and I'll explain what a useful first phase can include.

What happens after launch?

Website builds include 30 days to correct defects in the agreed work. After that, maintenance can cover the technical upkeep, and a retainer can reserve capacity for changes and new features. One-off work is also possible, subject to availability.

What about time zones?

I'm in Lisbon, same time zone as London, with good overlap with the rest of Europe and the US East Coast.

Working on something for a client?

Send me the brief, the designs or just the situation. I'll reply, usually within one working day, with a few questions and a sense of what it will take to build it.
